Adventures On the Road
Follow our intriguing yet merry adventures around the U.S. and Canada from this page of the EllenBooks site. Before I met Robert, I could count on the fingers of one hand the number of states I had spent any time in. Now I've been all over the country and into Canada and Mexico. I've rafted the Colorado through the Grand Canyon and stood near the top of Mt. Rendezvous in the Tetons in the middle of a lightning storm... we've seen bears, moose, elk, bald eagles, baby osprey in the wild.... Our travels have brought us in touch with some memorable people and places, and we'll share them with you.
How it started...
When we began thinking about our first trip together, Robert asked me where in the entire world I wanted to go. He would take me anywhere. What did I say? What would you have said?!?

What's important to us is what we'll share with you
When we vacation, we like to pick out-of-the-way places. We'll share our experiences here -- good and bad hotels, motels and bed-and-breakfast stays, awe-inspiring and disappointing hikes and views, good spots to shop and stores to skip. It's all here!
We're picky about where we eat when we go to restaurants. We're nonsmokers, so clear air is important to us. And because Robert's such a great cook, and uses fresh, healthy ingredients, our palettes are spoiled. So our favorite places tend to be those that serve great food in a smoke-free atmosphere.
